Why Some Moments Are Not For Everyone

Some moments lose their meaning the moment they become public.

Not all experiences are built for exposure. Some are defined by their intimacy - a quiet setting, a specific feeling, a moment that holds significance only within a certain context. When these are shared broadly, they often lose the conditions that made them meaningful in the first place.

They become flattened.

What was once personal becomes generalized. What was specific becomes interpreted by people who weren’t a part of it. And in that process, the original experience begins to shift.

Choosing not to share everything isn’t about withholding from others. It’s about preserving the integrity of certain moments.

It’s an acknowledgment that some things carry more weight when they remain within a smaller space — or even entirely private.

This isn’t about creating distance. It’s about protecting meaning, because not every moment needs to extend beyond itself to matter.
